Taurean is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Fort Lee, Virginia.

Job Summary: 

As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the HSIF storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties. 

Technical Skills and Experience Required:  

Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, warehousing, distribution as well as Forklift Operator Certification. 

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory:

• Assist with movement of stock between the primary and secondary storage buildings
• Inspect, photograph damages, inventory and store incoming material 
• Perform data entry of physical receipt and storage information into the automated warehouse management system (WMS)

Kitting and Shipping:

• Assembly and packaging of specific components into kits tailored to meet specific needs.
• Allocate, pick, pack, and process shipments of material. Palletize material for shipment. 
• Create manifests and shipping documents using the automated WMS. 

Building Security:

• Perform physical security actions including routinely checking access points (doors, etc.). Secure facility doors and accountable inventory at the end of each operating period. 
• Assist with access control; assist with logging in and providing visitor badges for all guests.  

Warranty Tracking:

• Assist with the tracking of warranty information on GFP purchased and utilized. 

Other: 

• Other duties as assigned 

 A National Agency Background Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required for this position. 

 Work Hours: 7:30 to 4:30 Eastern Time Monday through Friday.
